My Oh My; Contest Update
I haven't received a single entry for the photo contest yet! Oh my, this has never happened before.
What does this mean? You may well ask. It means one of two things is going to happen.
First, I'm going to postpone the deadline until this Friday, the 19th.
If I receive enough entries I'll go ahead with the contest and just alter the judging a bit to suit. If I receive too few I will comp the entries I do receive a 20% discount on a full session.
For current prices (please be mindful these do change from time to time), please send me a private e-mail so we can address any concerns you may have directly.
I'm not completely sure what the appropriate number of entries is at this moment, so I'm not going to paint myself into a corner by setting that until I see the response. I do promise to be fair though.

Easter Sunday

Spring Photo Contest
It's been a while since I've hosted a contest. With Spring beginning to show her lovely, lovely face all over the PNW I think it's time to show me your best seasonal photos.
That's right, this time around it's not about a cute baby, or an attractive couple, it's simply about the photos and the season. It can be any photo you feel captures the feeling of Spring. This can include people, by all means, it just doesn't have to.
Judging of this contest will be two fold. The first will be the usual round of having your friends and family come vote by "Liking" your photo. From there I will take the top 3-5 (depending on the final number of participants) and those will be judged by a panel of judges.
Judges:
Jackie Casella, local writer for publications such as the Weekly Volcano and City Arts Magazine.
Dana Kehr, PNW photographer and teacher of the photographic arts (TCC).
Kent Ward, photographer and graphic artist currently out of North ID.
And Mark Williams of Centerstage Photography, Tacoma.
These fine individuals have graciously agreed to assist me so that I can offer a contest that is well rounded and fair. Photos will be judged on composition, originality and theme guidelines.
Rules/Fine print:
~Please "Like" my FB page before you submit a photo.
~Only 1 (one) image will be accepted per household. Image must be taken by the individual submitting. Must be 18 years of age or older to submit.
~Images submitted will not be used for anything other than this contest and PSI claims no rights to them outside this one time allowance of use.
~Previous winners of PSI contests are not subject to entry.
~Mini session includes 3 (three) fully edited images on a CD in two sizes; for printing and web use.
~Free mini session is for any portrait type desired although it's recommended it be used for child, couple, or small group up to 4 to get the most out of the shoot.
~Session must be booked within one week of notification of winning the contest, session itself can be scheduled for any time/date that is convenient for both parties.
~Once booked only one re-schedule will be permitted with a min of 24 hour notice (weather interference doesn't count).
~Session is for submitting individual (or their child/ren), can not be transferred to friends or extended family.
~Session must take place within the Gig Harbor/Tacoma, WA area.
~All comments will be deleted from photos, so please don't be offended. This is too keep negative language out of the equation.
~Savings of free session is aprox $40 but has no transferable or cash value.
~You can extend the session to a full shoot for difference of the cost. Winner can inquire with PSI personally if interested in doing so.

The contest will run from April 15th through 29th. The next two weeks will be for submission acceptance. This gives everyone some time to go out and shoot!
Send 1 image to poeticspectre@yahoo.com that you feel best represents Spring. Then when the album goes live on the 15th, share PSI and ask your friends to "Like" the page (this is not required to vote, it is however, a nice gesture and greatly appreciated), then "Like" your photo to vote.
